Infinity pool looking across the valley at sunset

Afternoons that refuse to move quickly

The outdoor infinity pool looks straight out over the countryside and is open to guests throughout their stay, in every season of the year. Loungers and outdoor furniture are set out around it, pool towels are kept close at hand, and there is an open-air bath for anyone who wants the sky overhead a little longer than the swim allows.

The garden is what holds the villa and the landscape together. There is shade in the middle of the day, warm stone underfoot by late afternoon, and the smell of dry grass and cypress carried up from the fields below. Most guests find that they do far less here than they planned, and that they enjoy the days more for it.

Breakfast is often carried outside when the weather allows, and the same terraces become the natural place to sit with a glass of something in the hour before dinner. Nothing about the grounds is programmed; they simply reward whoever walks out into them.
